NAME: Juliet Francesca Graves
NICKNAMES: Jules, Juliet, Grave, Flame.
AGE: 19
GENDER: Female
FACE CLAIM:: Hayley Williams
APPEARANCE: general » Juliet is about 5’2, quite short for nineteen – but she doesn’t mind too much, she’s quite strong and feels confident in herself. She’s also quite skinny, about 100lbs and to look at – you’d think she was about 16 maybe. But as soon as you look into her pretty green eyes – you’ll feel her maturity.
eyes » Juliet’s eyes are naturally a bright green, a stark contrast to her hair and creamy skin. They’re quite large, and doe-like at times (and there are usually a lot of bags under her eyes from lack of sleep - she’s a little hyper). In shape, they’re kind of a wide oval. Her eyes are quite pretty though, so she’s quite happy with them being larger than normal.Juliet’s eyes tend to be very expressive, and her mood is clearly distinguishable most of the time if you bother to look her in the eye.
hair » Juliet’s natural hair color is red, but for quite a while she’s been dying it quite funny. Depending on her mood, it can change from a dark red, to her natural red, to a brown-red and then finally to a blond red. Sometimes she’ll have all these colours at once. But usually she tends to stick to her natural red with some blond bits at the front. As for length, she keeps it about the same, just past her shoulders. No fancy cuts or anything -just a bit of a side fringe. Her hair is naturally pretty straight, so she tends to leave it that way. Juliet usually likes her hair to be...quite striking. So don’t expect it to ever be something that looks too normal. Her hair tends to make a statement about the kind of girl Juliet is – anything but normal.
style & other body information » When it comes to fashion, Juliet really hasn’t got a clue about brand names, etc. She tends to dress in her own style. She loves shopping at vintage places, or those weird little stores hidden in the cities. Juliet tends to avoid mainstream places, because their clothes are all the same and pretty boring. And when it comes to finding something wonderful in these little stores, Juliet is the master. She’s been shopping the obscure places for as long as she’s been shopping. The kind of stuff she tends to go for can be pretty varied. But mainly she loves punk clothes. Red or black skinny jeans with a long shirt over the top, a red tartan shirt, skate shoes etc. Being quite small suits her just fine because she can fit into skinny jeans etc. She also has a love for hoodies too. One thing she adores more than anything though – are stripes. Most of her shirts have stripes on them of some kind. Someone once commented that when she wore stripes she kind of looked like a tiger. So since then, she simply cannot resist.
Juliet used to be in a band, so her voice is quite musical to listen to even when she’s talking. Like her face, it tends to be very expressive. You’ll never hear her talk in a monotone or flatly, and seeming as she can sometimes talk quite a bit – be grateful. When singing, Juliet’s voice has a ‘tough’ edge to it, that matches her personality at times. She sings lower than most girls usually, only going high in small intervals.
distinguishing features » One of Juliet’s best features is her skin. Perfectly soft and creamy – she doesn’t even have a freckle. She rarely gets pimples or anything and doesn’t have any blemishes.

GOALS: To overcome the fury over her father’s death; to keep Rave and Devon safe from anything or anyone that tries to hurt them; to make something of herself.
FEARS: water; flying insects; losing anyone else close to her; her temper; confined spaces; clowns & the bunyip.
PERSONALITY: Juliet is an adventurer at heart. From the time of birth, she has always been curious to the point of it being a flaw. Because she has to know everything about everything! If there is a button that says ‘do not push’ – you can bet money she will push it within a second or two. Curiosity mixed with her adventurous personality is a recipe for danger when it comes to Juliet – and she runs into trouble a lot, usually caused by these two attributes.
Another part of Juliet’s personality is her courage. She is nearly fearless when it comes to anything – and is the always the first person in the pool, and last person out. She’s up to any dare or challenge thrown her way. Call her a wuss and she’ll beat you up. Call her weak and she’ll soon prove you wrong. Her pride has caused a flaw in her personality – a ridiculous competitiveness. She feels the need to turn just about everything into a competition. And she needs to win. If she loses, she will usually demand a rematch of sorts until she does win. At times it can get annoying. Like when she challenges a 20 year old body-builder to an arm wrestle and refuses to give up until her hand nearly breaks in half.
Another thing, Juliet never gives up on anything. She is as stubborn as a mule – especially when it comes to her opinions. She won’t force others to agree with her, she respects other’s decisions and opinions – but try to force her to see things your way and you don’t have a chance in hell. When it comes to voicing her opinion – she’s not afraid to, even if her voice shakes a little sometimes. It’s very important to Juliet to be able to do that – to be able to feel like she has the freedom to say what she thinks/feels.
Being a teenager, it is normal for them to be rebellious. Juliet takes it a little far though. She’s been known to drink excessively at times, she even tried heroin once but made a conscious it was better to not ever do it again – it made her feel too out of control. She also has a habit of stealing when she hangs out with the wrong people. When in the mood for it, she also loves to ride around in trolleys – and cause genuine mischief wherever she goes. Now that she’s away from Hadley’s, she feels much freer to do as she pleases and it has led to her rebellion getting a little out of hand at times. A part of Juliet’s rebellion comes across in her hatred of authority too. If people treat her with respect, then she will gladly do the same. But try to boss her around, or tell her what to do – and she does not take it well at all. She’s not afraid to tell you either.
Juliet loves to have fun. She thrives on it like an addiction. If she was ever forced into an office job – she would die. She thrives on being outside, on running around in the sun, playing football, being physical in general. She’s quite fidgety and almost hyper to a degree, and can’t stand sitting still for too long.
A dangerous trait Juliet has is her naivety. She trusts easily, and always gives people the benefit of the doubt. It has put her in danger before, but she can’t seem to shake it off. Emotional-wise, she tends to hold her cards close to her chest. If she’s hurting, it’s hard to tell – she doesn’t like sharing her emotional crap with others – she doesn’t want to look weak.
Juliet gets very frustrated in situations where she is helpless, or unable to help others. Feeling out of control is something she hates more than anything else and tends to get very panicky and angry in situations where this occurs. Growing up with her father, she had little to no control – over him or herself with her IED. And she had no control over his death either, so she hates to feel out of control. Another flaw, is her temper. Juliet harbours a whole lot of anger inside, and finds it very hard to control a lot of the time. Very often her temper gets the better of her and she says and does things out of anger that is almost always misplaced. Most of the treatment at Hadley’s was useless after her father killed himself.
But all in all – Juliet’s most attractive attribute is her empathy, She is the type of person you can always talk to if you need an ear to listen to. If someone is being picked on, she will jump right in there and defend them. It’s just built into her brain, to help others if they need it, to protect others if they need it. And if your her friend – this instinct knows no boundaries. It’s almost a ‘superhero syndrome’ of sorts.

OTHER NOTES: With the fairly recent death of her father about six months ago, Juliet is a little unstable. Lately she’s been unpredictable – sometimes lashing out at people for no reason. Hopefully returning to her best friends will help even out her moods a little. But no promises. At nineteen she’s an orphan, shoved out into the world on her own. She has a lot to be angry about, so don’t give her anymore reasons to be.
History in First Person
(Ages 2 Through 12)
Where Did You Grow Up?
Aberdeen.
What Was It Like When You Were Growing Up?
Hard. Dad had untreated multiple personalities. Only two though, Eric and Michael. Eric was a ten year old who had been molested by his piano teacher and who loved Lord of the Rings. Michael was my dad essentially. He took care of me as best he could with his issues. But I practically raised myself, and I think I did an okay job. Hey. I’m here now aren’t I?
I read and drew a lot, that helped.
Did You Have Any Problems In School When You Were Younger?
Pfft. When your dad picks you up from school shrieking about how his piano teacher touched him, you’re bound to have problems in school. But whatever. I got bullied a lot, which I think attributed a lot to my uncontrollable IED. Dad tried toput me on meds. And I called him a fat hypocrite when he yelled at me when I refused to take them anymore.
I put three guys in the hospital for touching me including my maths teacher. Aberdeen is a hole. That kind of shit goes on in every school. But they all learned their lesson, and because I was such a damn prodigy child when it came to grades – I didn’t get kicked out.
Did You Or Do You Have Many Childhood Friends? If So, Please Tell Us About Them.
Only the imaginary ones hah. I had Darren Shan, Aragorn, Robin Hood, Peter Pan etc. among many other book characters that got me through each day. The ones I made up were amalgamations of all those guys. As for real friends, I had this kid called Joey who constantly had his finger stuck up his nose. He didn’t talk though, he was mute. So it was kind of hard to hold up a conversation on my own. I did my best though. And when other kids picked on him, I’d beat them up.
Did You Participate In Any Extracurricular Or Sporting Activities?
I used to play basketball, but IED fucked that up royally for me.
How Many Siblings Do You Have? Do You Get Along With Them?
None. My parents were smart enough to only create one of me.
What Did Your Parents Do For A Living?
My mother was an artist, my father a writer.
What Happened When You Disobeyed Your Parents?
Ugh. Dad would hit the roof. He roughed me up pretty bad sometimes when he was Michael. Michael was an army sergeant, and I was his child from a prostitute in Vietnam. Especially when I didn’t take my pills, he hated it when I didn’t take them. To be fair, we roughed each other up. So I think it about evened out in the end.
(Ages 13 To The Present)
Do/Did You Enjoy School?
Hell no. It only got worse in high school with the bullying. Eric seemed to always pop up in public, shrieking about how his peepee hurt. A grown man screaming that was never a good image, especially when he was your father. And because I was pretty protective of the old man, because he really was just sick, when others made fun of him it really set off my IED. Soon enough, I was having these attacks on a daily basis. That’s when the old ticker started to get sore. Chest pains started happening. I’d get dizzy sometimes. Eh. No big deal. Just a side effect apparently.
That’s when I started to deal heavily in drugs and alcohol, they help with the pain and the attacks. Especially heroin. I also started playing guitar then, and explored my vocalness. Started singing at school concerts etc. it was pretty good. I love music. But sometimes the IED would fuck things up.
Do/Did You Have A Best Friend?
Rave and Devon.
Do You Have An Interest In The Opposite Sex? If So, When Did You Begin Taking An Interest?
If you’re asking me if I like sex then yes, with guys, I do. I had my first lay when I was about fourteen. He was nineteen. Interesting, let me tell you.
Do You Have An Interest In The Same Sex? If So, When Did You Begin Taking An Interest?
On occasion I’ll dig a chick, not very often though. I’m pretty particular. First kissed a girl when I was fifteen. She was gorgeous.
How Were/Are You At School Work?
I was a prodigy child. 100% on exams, and I knew just about everything. Don’t ask me what happened, guess the drugs and alcohol killed off a few billion brain cells. I’m still pretty good academically, get about a 90% average. But nothing like I used to be.
What Was/Is Your Favorite Subject?
History. Knowing that I’m not the first or the worst fuck up is very comforting.
Have You Ever Gotten Drunk, Taken Drugs Or Gotten In Trouble With The Police?
Countless times. Hey, this isn’t a resume – we’re meant to be honest right? So yeah. I’m a big drug user, mostly heroin. I drink like there’s no tomorrow and cops are usually involved. Been arrested a few times for assault, possession etc. But nothing’s ever stuck. I got a shiny little doctor’s note that lets me get out of most of it.
Do You Have A Criminal Record? If So, What Were Your Convicted Crimes?
about 10 counts of assault I guess.
How Has This Affected You And Your Life?
Eh. Not majorly. I get used to it.
How Do You Feel About What You’ve Done, Looking Back?
I regret some of it, the times when I didn’t mean to get angry. But a lot of the people deserved what they got, so that I’m not sorry for.
What happened after you left Hadley’s?
Well. I went home, expecting my dad to be there. But they said he needed another six months or so. So I spent as much time as I could in his institute, but it was hard – he was getting more and more depressed in this place. They wouldn’t leave anything alone, all of his deepest wounds they questioned and questioned about, trying to get it all out of him so he could ‘heal’ but it just made him so much worse. He killed himself – hung himself with a bed sheet.
After that I wandered all over the place, unable to stay anywhere too long because I would get restless and feel the need to pick up and move again. Dad left quite a bit of money to me, so I'm doing OK. I got an email from Devon, so I’ve made my way over here and am going to stay with the two boys for a few weeks – maybe even settle down a little bit here. But we’ll see.
