"Hey there, buddy." A older man sat at the table Rave was sharing with Devon and held out his hand. "Your friend as a nice way with the crowd. I'm Gordy Sweet." He introduced himself. "I'm the owner of Sweet Times, around the corner?" He made it a question but saw Rave's puzzlement. "No worries." He pulled out a business card. "I'm looking for someone to do some demos at the store, no salary, strictly commission. I saw the way you were eying up the instruments as they went up, figured you were a multi-talented guy...play more than one do you?" He asked. "If your interested in commission work, I can give you a shot. Come by the next day or so, before noons best. Most of us music types don't like the sun much, so business is slow." He winked and stood. "Hope to see you around, kid."

Rave grinned at Devon and cheered him on when he performed. He knew the guy could do it even though he didn't prepare!
"Good goin' Dev!"
He said and patted his back when he got off stage even though he looked somewhat embarrassed about it already just because Rave set him up to do it.
"Hey, lemme buy yoah a beer eh?"
He said and went to the bar and ordered two Heineken and gave one to Devon right away before he walked over to the dread haired girl at the bar again and told her to set him up for the upcoming Wednesdays as well.
When he returned to the table he saw a middle aged man standing there even though his own coat was still hanging over the chair to mark that the table was taken already. He peered at him while the man started talking.
He was on his way to say "don't you buddy me you geezer" but he didn't have time to do so before the guy started talking again and soon made Rave quirk a brow then form a smirk and placed the beer on the table.
"I play basically anythin' yoah 'and me. Gimme an 'our ohr so with a new instrument, show me 'ow it works and I can play it."
He replied and folded his arms over his chest and met the eyes of this Gordy Sweet daringly. If he could do something, he could learn how to play instruments pretty quick and get the hang of it and the basics of it. A few days and he could play it well.
"I know very well 'ow it is with 'idin from tha sun.. I'm tha same."
He simply replied, just to state the fact that he knew his way around music instruments just as good as anyone. Not to mention he wrote most of his lyrics and made up most of his songs during night when he couldn't sleep.
"I'll ge' around.. bu' don't yoah dare call me kid again ohr I'm out"
He said with a smirk and a slight glare at the guy as he left. He turned back to Devon who stood next to him and shrugged before he sat down with his beer.
"well... tha' was a slap and a giggle.. wasn't it?"
He asked and took a drink of the beer he'd just bought with the new false ID card.

"Personally, I thought you were insulting." Devon said with a sour look, "But whatever, you'll either get the job or not, but if you treat the customers the way you just treated him good luck trying to make it with commission work."
Sometimes the fact that Rave had grown up rich really showed, but Devon figured that he was due in for a rough re-education on some aspects of life out on his own. There's only so far some people can be pushed, and holding a job meant keeping someone happy. A boss might or might look over a rude salesperson on a personal level, but not on a public one. And someone who couldn't bring in the customers...was out the door.
"I'm going to head to the store before it closes." Devon said, standing as he finished off his beer. "You gonna hang out, or come with?"

"I dunn like bein' called a kid, okay.."
He said and took another drink of his beer while leaning on the wall, sitting sideways on the chair and letting his left arm rest on the back of the chair as he once again started to watch people at the pub.
Perhaps this was a chance for him to get closer to that demo he wanted so bad. He had tons of songs around just waiting to be recorded but he kind of needed a studio to do so and buying on cost tons and it wasn't even worth buying one on your own when you could borrow someone elses.
"Nah... I'll sit 'ere fo' a while I think... just chillin' some.. Go' a beer 'n all, can't complain realleh"
He said with a light grin and held his beer up as if making a cheer before taking another drink of it and placed it down on the table again while licking his upper lip to get the white foam off.
He watched Devon walk off and he made himself comfortable at the table while watching people and of course also making sure to talk to some of them, especially the girl at the bar. She looked okay and if she offered he wouldn't say no, but he wasn't really looking for anything at the moment. He just wanted to chat and be a bit social with people tonight and enjoy his self proclaimed freedom.
